About Me

Collaborative pianist and coach Dr. Carson Rose Schneider is a

versatile performer and coach of art song, opera, musical theatre, chamber and instrumental music based in Minnesota.  She has also given recitals throughout the United States and Europe.

       Carson currently has a recording studio called CRStudios where she works with both singers and instrumentalists.  Since moving to Minnesota in 2014, she has worked for companies around the Midwest including Lyric Opera of the North, AOT, Skylark Opera Theatre, Really Spicy Opera, Bay View Music Festival, Lakes Area Music Festival, and Fargo-Moorhead Opera.  During the pandemic, she has recorded virtual recitals and tracks for companies such as Social Distance Opera.  In addition to an active performing life, she has a home recording and coaching studio called CRStudios and is the pianist and choir accompanist at Union Congregational Church in Elk River, MN.  During the summer, she is on the collaborative piano faculty at Bay View Music Festival's S.O.A.R.S (summer opera, art song, and recording) program.  Before moving in 2014, she worked as a staff accompanist and class piano instructor at Eastern Kentucky University.    

     She graduated with her doctorate in collaborative piano and coaching from the University of Minnesota in 2017, where she studied with Timothy Lovelace. She has also been a young artist at Virginia Opera, Opera North, Bay View Music Festival (Mainstage), and La Musica Lirica. Additional summer study includes Source Song Festival, Tibor Varga Music Academy in Sion, Switzerland and Aspen Music Festival.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, I am making accompaniment tracks on demand and virtual coaching. Since my studio is big enough to social distance, I am still offering limited in person video recording as well.  I have all the equipment you need for recording straight from my home recording studio.  Click here to book me directly and see below for more information. I make tracks on demand during Covid-19 for recitals, coachings, auditions, and practicing. Delivery in 3-5 business days. Rates vary.

I  offer 30 min (1 piece) and 60 min (2-3 pieces) virtual coaching sessions. Currently accepting new clients, high school and  older.
